The Insensitive MC
I had this awesome post lined up. Really. It was super cool. But I totally erased it. So, whatev. Instead you'll just get some random movie review haiku's. And I'll be back with something fierce-ah in the near future. Swear.

These guys are pretty good. Hip Hop with a live band. It's a possibility.
Not bad at all, really. And frankly, it's been a while for us. IT'S BEEN SO LONG. And 8 bucks is cheap. And so am I.
Yeah, definately a possibility.
AND willing to sacrifice.
are you going to write a haiku about my mix?
Yeah, I gotta say. Life Aquatic? Underwhelming. Maybe my expectations were completely ridiculous. Because I do loves me some Murray. And some Wes. And some acoustic foreign David Bowie covers. I'm sure after a few viewings, it'll get to me. Kill Bill took a while, but eventually it got me.
I'm such a fucking snob.
You know, I had the exact same reaction the first time I saw it. But then, when I saw it again the very next day (different day, different girl; a playa's gotta play, what can I say?), I actually liked it much more. And the third time was really a charm.
I think once I got it into my head that Life Aquatic was a much more straight-forward comedy than any of Wes's others, it became quite enjoyable. I mean... "Your dog's dead." How is that not funny?
Though I must say, I do think he sequenced a couple of the scenes very wrong, especially in the beginning, and I hated most of the animations, especially the Jaguar Shark... I think if he would've just kept on that straight forward shot of all the actors' faces close up as they watch this monster, perhaps panning to close-ups of a few of them, it would've contributed a bit of an air of mystery that I think was sorely lacking.
Anyway... To sum up, I guess I'm a fucking snob too.
